Healers Reimagined has been on the heart and mind of it's founder Eilish for close to a decade after her work experiences while working in the South Bronx and nationally. Through collaborations near and far Eilish has remained inspirted by her colleagues and their dedication to equity, justice and upward mobility for some of the country's most vulnerable populations. While acknowledging the beautiful spirit of people "Who get it", Eilish also witnessed the ways in people neglected their own care and made it secondary to serving the community. The neglect while noble at it's core beared the potential to invite burnout, depression, anxiety, chronic disease and even death yet no one was really talking about it. After returning to school to obtain a degree in Social Work one of the most self-sacrificing professions ever, Eilish decided she wanted more for herself and others. As a result Healers Reimagined was born to challenge the damaging status quo culture of celebrating burn out and self neglect amongst providers.
The goal of the Healers Reimagined is to help as many community leaders and advocates as possible find the audacity in their rest. The collective seeks to ecourage liberation amongst the tireless unsung heroes who keep the world spinning. Here we stand by humans not needing permission to rest and honor your body and your needs. We understand that thought process while simple requires a lot of unlearning, self-advocacy in a world consistently pushing grind culture. It's time to plant the seeds.
Eilish is a super proud New Yorker and Bronxite. She has always been known to be the more “radical” one in her family who, always sought fairness & justice. A deep thinker with a big heart Eilish strives to inspire a shift where our unsung community heroes honor their mind, body and spirt. She has a Master’s of Public Health with a concentration of Sexual Reproductive Health and Maternal Child Health from the CUNY School of Public Health and has worked in Maternal Health for close to 15 years. Eilish also posseses a Master in Clinical Social Work from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College.
Her loves include yoga, plants, the ocean, chocolate, belly dance & crafting.
